GOSS implemented at London City Airport
Arepo’s Ground Operations Software has been selected by London City Airport to help manage the Airside Passenger Transport contract. The Airside buses are operated by the TGM Group as part of their Airport Services operations.
London City Airport’s Ramp Control team manage all passenger movements between the Terminal and the Aircraft using the Airside Passenger Module of the GOSS application. Transfers are simply added by the Ramp Control staff using an online form and the jobs are despatched to the Airside Bus driver’s smartphones where they can be accepted and relevant job information collected. The GPS functionality of the smartphone is utilised to capture additional service information that is stored within the GOSS application for further analysis.
Once transfer jobs are completed, managers can view all service information including a point-to-point map of the services provided. The capture and analysis of this data will help the airport and the bus operators to better understand the services provided and will assist in improved stand planning.
