GOSS at Heathrow's Airside Safety Week

Arepo have been supporting our client, dnata, at the 2nd Heathrow Airside Safety Week. The event, held at Heathrow's newly equipped Fire Station, brought together staff from across the airport's numerous airside operations and suppliers including ground services providers, baggage and cargo handlers, airlines and the emergency services.

All airside staff were encouraged to visit the exhibition where safety best practices were being shared through interactive competitions and demonstrations.

Adam Flowers, Safety and Compliance Manager at dnata UK says, "dnata have exhibited at each of the Heathrow Safety Week events as it's an important way to interact with all of our colleagues on the Ramp. This year we've been showcasing our latest innovation for sharing safety and compliance procedures with all of our 1800 staff at Heathrow. We're deploying touch screen terminals to our crew rooms and providing access to all of the documentation and manuals we store on GOSS."

As part of dnata's plan to continuously improve the safety culture within the business, the dnata account on www.ground-ops.com has been rebranded as GOSSIP. "The flexibility of Arepo's GOSS application has allowed us to customise the software to our evolving needs. This includes our ongoing processes and procedures as well as our internal corporate communications. It's vitally important for all of our staff to buy in to safety culturally and for them to have the confidence that the documentation is the very latest version. GOSS gives us that control and confidence" Adam continues.

"It's been an interesting week for us at Heathrow seeing how the various agencies work together in sharing best practices in the airside environment" John Graham-Maw, Managing Director of Arepo Solutions, says. "We've also received some fantastic feedback from end users of our Ground Ops Software at the airport. We'll be looking at ways in which GOSS can continue to help record and report incidents and keep all stakeholders up-to-date through our real-time reporting."

Arepo's Ground Operations Software System (GOSS) is available as a customisable SaaS solution to ground handlers, airports and airside operations. The application is deployed at airports including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London City, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
